HBAV Housing Excellence Awards Terms and Conditions

1. HBAV Housing Excellence Awards is open to all Home Builders of Association Members [HBAV]. Every entrant must be an active member of HBAV.
2. The Housing Excellence Awards program will be run by the Home Builders Association of Virginia.
3. By entering the HBAV Housing Excellence Awards, the Entrants accept these Terms and Conditions together with any specific instructions and terms for the Housing Excellence Awards Program which may be mentioned, in any electronic message, or on the website, on social media, or communicated to Entrants in any other way (“Entry Information”). Such Entry Information shall prevail in the event of there being any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any Entry Information.
4. HBAV may cancel or amend the Award Entry Information, or these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. Any changes will be posted within the Entry Information or these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions were last updated January 10, 2024.
5. HBAV decisions in all matters to do with the Housing Excellence Awards will be final.
6. The Housing Excellence Awards entry portal opens at 12:00 am on January 8, 2024. The closing time and date for receipt of entries is midnight March 15, 2024.
7. Entrants are free to submit as many individual categories as they wish, and each entry will be judged separately. However, entrants can win any award based solely on the discretion of the judges.
8. To enter the HBAV Housing Excellence Awards, Entrants must;
a. Register an account and upload and submit their entry according to the requirements for that category. Entrants MUST meet ALL requirements or entry will be invalid.
b. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions and provide additional contact details. Your details will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition.
c. Entrants can work on entries throughout the time period of January 8, 2024 through March 15, 2024. When completed, entrants must electronically pay the entry fee and SUBMIT with payment. Once the entry is submitted, it is FINAL.
9. Entries will not be complete until Entrants have uploaded their entry and accepted these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to disqualify any entries submitted after the Awards Program has closed.
10. All entries will be subject to the discretion of the Housing Excellence Awards judges, and the judges can determine that there is no winner in a specific category without giving reasons for the decision.
11. By entering the Housing Excellence Awards, Entrants warrant that all information submitted by them is true, current, and complete. Contestants also warrant they are the copyright owners of their photography or videos submitted.
12. Any entries which are incomplete, incorrect, inaudible, incomprehensible, may be void.
13. In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding, or dispute concerning the correctness or acceptability of the entry, or the operation of any part of the Housing Excellence Awards, or the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the decision HBAV makes shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. HBAV will not be liable to reimburse any expenses incurred in entering the Awards Program.
15. HBAV reserves the right to disqualify any Entrants and/or entries which it believes have not been made in compliance with these Terms and Conditions or to disqualify any Entrant.
16. Award winners will be notified in person at the HBAV Housing Excellence Awards Celebration held at The Williamsburg Lodge on June 14, 2024.
